Seen & Whole
Four of my illuminated art pieces were selected for Seen & Whole, part of the Activated Spaces series of exhibitions organized by the San Diego Art Directory (SDAD). These include Enlighted Rings 21, Hex Box 1, Love is Love, and the Sequin Technicolor Trenchcoat. They all feature RGB LED pixels with animated color-changing patterns. Three are wall-mounted, and the fourth is a wearable garment.
Seen & Whole is a visual arts installation exploring themes of identity, belonging, and the experience of moving through the world as your full self. Presented at the Congregational Church of La Jolla (CCLJ), La Jolla's oldest faith community and the only explicitly LGBTQIA+ affirming Christian church in the neighborhood, led by an openly queer minister. The opening reception was held June 5, 2026, from 4-7pm, coinciding with the Pride Month edition of the First Friday La Jolla art walk.

Seen & Whole is also serving as inspriation for Come as You Are, an opportunity for San Diego writers and poets to create original works in response to specific pieces in the show. The call for written submissions is open through July 18, 2026. Selected pieces will be performed at a live storytelling showcase on August 14, 2026.
