Open Hexagonal Lattice II
Acrylic on canvas
36" h x 48" w
1998
This is a variation of Open Hexagonal Lattice I, with the edge lengths increased and the open black "holes" expanded. Colors are arranged so that complementary colors are adjacent to one another when you move along the length of a span (red/green, orange/blue, yellow/purple). Moving around a span, colors are grouped as neighboring pairs (red/orange, orange/yellow, etc...).
