This piece is part of a series made with nested toroid shapes. The outer surfaces are illuminated with RGB LEDs and covered with a fabric diffusing layer as well as various contrasting colors of mesh fabric. Enlighted Toroid 3 has alternating rings with a light or dark background and a constrasting mesh overlay.

The lights are animated with a variety of hypnotic animation patterns and colors, including several which are sound-reactive.

When it is first powered up, the piece runs a repeating sequence through all of the modes. It can also be set to run a single pattern continuously, using the built-in mode switch on the back panel or with the Enlighted iOS BLE App.
