This piece was painted in a hard-edge colorist style, with minimized brushstrokes.  The design is based on a grid of overlapping circles, with various joined and intersected shapes painted as a single color (or shade) within each boundary.

Unlike the artist's typically colorful work, this painting was created with only black, white, and a range of grayscale values.
