Stained Glass
The stained glass aesthetic has a lot of similarities with the hard-edge colorist painting style I prefer. It involves dividing a surface into distinct regions, where each region can be a distinct bright color (or a blend of colors, in the case of swirled glass). Stained glass methods are also well-suited for creating geometric patterns.
There is also some overlap with my electronics work: lots of soldering! I haven't built anything with stained glass recently, but many of these influences carry back to my other work.
